We have to give it to Midway for taking their classic fighting series Mortal Kombat, and giving it a new life in a new genre - as an action adventure game instead of another straight fighting game in Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks. Gamers will get to experience the Mortal Kombat Tournament from the viewpoints of game favorites Liu Kang and Kung Lao, by exploring the Outworld, completing missions, and defeating enemies with a whole new array of fantastic moves that grow in destruction power as gamers move up levels. Brand new multi-directional combat systems lets gamers launch attacks at any time in any direction, which combined with interactive environments, powerful weapons, special attacks and Fatalities, battling old-time foes like Sub-Zero and Scorpion is suddenly new again. Gorgeous graphics and detailed environments promise plenty of new and brutal ways to punish anyone who gets in the way. Plenty of action, plenty of blood, we can't wait to get our hands on it.
