Voiced by Patrick Stewart of Star Trek fame, professor Charles Xavier provides the player with hints and clues through a telepathic link to Wolverine. Unfortunately, controlling Wolverine during combat can prove difficult, especially when there are multiple enemies onscreen at the same time. That, and some of the camera angles can distort the view when you most need it. Another beef we had is that the game isn't going to win any awards for the best-looking digital diversion of the year. While not horrible, the game doesn't exactly take advantage of the next-generation hardware that's running it.
If you can get past the blatant tie-in with the feature film and minor assorted issues, X2:Wolverine's Revenge should appeal to action/adventure game enthusiasts, comic book nerds, and fans of the movie alike.-Marc Saltzman

Hot: The eight amazing-looking tracks
Not: Lower-level personal water craft sometimes sluggish
Score: 0 0 0 0
Three, two, one! Smash the X button and try to hang on as you rocket your way through eight mind-blowing tracks while doing insane tricks and trying to keep your top spot against hard-hitting opponents. If that's not enough, choppy water, waves, wakes, and half-submerged boulders, cars, and relics are there to cause even more pain. Welcome to Jet X20.
If you are a fan of racing games, you have to get this title. Like Tricky and Freekstyle, you are pulling tricks and racing wild courses, only this time you are racing on water with your souped-up personal water craft. The game has eight international characters, all equipped for doing stunts and tricks for extra boost to jump ramps or more importantly pass the competition. The other players are tough and won't make it easy for you either; good stick control is essential for fast, smooth racing. One big crash and you can almost surely kiss First Place good-bye. However, a good knowledge of the tracks, shortcuts, and enough trick points and you're certain to make a decent finish and move on.
Jet X2O has three skill levels: amateur, pro, and expert. The difficulty levels progress steadily, and by the time you make it through the amateur season, you are definitely ready to move on to pro. The A.I. boosts the other players and the difficulty of the course by escalating the water choppiness, currents, and rider wakes, making it a stick-thrashing, X-button-mashing, roller-coaster ride. There are five gameplay modes for both single and multiplayers that include world tour, combo, trick, race, and big wave.
The graphics in this game are amazing. The water is so realistic that at times you just want to forget the race and kick back on a raft and hang out for a while. You'll be surprised at how genuine the waves and currents look and feel. Point-to-point racecourses and arcade-style features solidify the total look and feel of the game. Sony really knocked themselves out on the tracks, each one very different and full of its own clever obstacles. With great names like SlicStream, DeltaFaktor, Hyperion Gorge, PermaFrost, MesoTec, Aquatica, NeoTropic, and Metro Nox, you can already tell you're in for a serious ride no matter what. We had fun playing this game.-Lisa Lippard
